Fall 2017 Update

October 3, 2017

Dear SMBC Supporters,

What a year! It’s hard to believe that camp has come and gone for 2017. We wanted to use our report this quarter to share with you the tremendous things God has done at SMBC this year. This year we had groups from the following counties and/or Churches: White; Murray (2), Putnam, West Nashville, Cannon, and Coffee. During the Summer season, we had 1360 participate in camp. There were 50 baptisms, and 30 restorations! We are always humbled to see the power of God up close, as well as the power of the ministries that utilize our facility!

We are already making plans for Summer 2018. To aid the funding that comes from churches we hosted 2 major events. On Friday night September 29, we hosted the 2nd annual SMBC Benefit: Cookeville. On Saturday night, September 30, we hosted the 1st annual SMBC Benefit: Coffee County. Between these 2 events we got to share the mission and vision of SMBC with well over 300 people. We also raised a significant amount of money that will help us accomplish preparations for 2018.

While we raised money at our benefit dinners, we still have so much to do! In order to accomplish what we would like, we still need financial help. This fall, we are prepared to meet with any eldership/leadership, or do presentations at local churches. Would your church be interested in an SMBC presentation? We would also humbly ask for you to consider SMBC as your church makes plans for the 2018 budget Is there any room to raise support for SMBC? We understand that there are many great works on the international and domestic mission fields, but we also believe that God is working in mighty ways on the mountain through the ministries that use our facility.

We have very big plans, and we would love for you to partner with us. If you would like to donate to camp as a church, please send us an email at shortmountainbiblecamptn@gmail.com or call us at 615-563-4168.

Until next time, please continue to pray for the mission of SMBC and all our kids. We appreciate your support in helping us make what we believe will be a record year for the camp!

Blessings SMBC Staff
